  Graphtec cutter problem. Advice needed please?

  i folks got a real problem here today switched plotter on today and just an electrical bang . It is always plugged into a surge protector so i thought it would be ok .Ive change fuse in power lead but still no response .Could it be an internal fues than hopefull the main board ?

  Hi Brian,
  I don’t have a graphtec cutter (Summa) but I don’t think it would hurt to take a look inside -depending on the age of it and whether under warranty I guess.
  If it’s out of warrant you’ve nothing to lose by taking a look and checking fuses, looking at the boards and making sure there’s nothing obvious like a mains wire come loose and groundd against the chassis or something simple.

  Thanks for that hugh .Im actually taking it to Martin ( pearson) the day hes really good with these things hes has far more tech knowledge than i do i just dont trust myself even touching it !! …ill let you know how it goes
