TECH EIGHT MX FLUSH – What is it?

I found two bottles of this stuff in my cupboard tonight! I vaguely recollect purchasing it but don’t remember what for!!

I think it’s an aggressive flushing fluid and from memory, I believe it ‘melts’ plastic!!

Can anyone tell me what it is and how it should be used?

    Thanks

    John

We have a cleaning liquid called mx, used to clean the ink off our screen after printing.

tech eight was a machine servicing/maintenance company.
General flush can be used for various things printer related. We kept bottles of flush for end of week general clean up of solvent on parts of the printer etc.
also, lets say we were closing for the Christmas break, you would flush the the solvent inks in the machine to prevent them turning to jelly and clogging pipes and heads etc however, that, from memory, was flush carts.

I remember a few of us here took contracts out with tech8 for printer maintenance and warranty. This was their cleaning fluid which I still use weekly.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I do recall someone from the Roland forum recommending this stuff. I remember using it on some old printheads and it actually melted/dissolved the ink input pins! I’m guessing it should be used and flushed soon afterwards :smiles:

I’ve been looking for an aggressive DTG ink dissolver to I can unblock some of my Epson printheads.

    Cheers

Doesn’t need to be flushed afterwards, it is a flush. The reason it probably melted your equipment is that it is designed for full solvent machines and ink.
