  • Faint lines in print at crop marks

I seem to be getting faint lines in the print where the crop marks are. If I don’t print crops then I don’t get it.
Even printing solid 100% Black on Density control only it doesn’t happen. All print heads seem to fire correct, but the lines are only about the width of the heads in the crop mark area. It doesn’t happen after the marks and starts again where the marks are at the end.

Thanks, I know what you mean, I have had tiny fibres before, but I have checked and cleaned everything several times and can’t find anything. As I said it only happens over the crop mark area nowhere else and if I print the same file without crop marks it doesn’t happen.

Looks electrical to me. Maybe an FPC cable? You could try swapping head cables and see if the colour moves? I’d be interested to know what it is though, keep us posted.
