  • Help needed matching this aluminium frame please?

    Posted by Daniel Evans on 12 January 2018 at 11:41

    Hey guys

    Was called to fit a new board to an existing frame and between first measuring up and going back to fit the sign, part of the frame has gone missing.

    Does anyone recognise this frame and tell me where to get it?

    Dimensions are 30mm depth, 60mm high and the smaller j part 30mm

    He’s the image

    Amari Plastics – NovaTrim I think it is. Looks familiar.

    I’ll dig a length out and check…

    Try Cherwell Sign Supplies’ Versaframe

    Nope not Nova.

    Try Tuvisio.

    FYI – The Nova Trim profiles attached.

    Out of question, how much would you charge to put a 770mm x 3000 frame up

    I think this is it, was from Cherwell before they renamed it Versaframe

    That would depend on location, height, access, fixings and how much you pay your fitters.

    Just me, although I think I would get someone in to help (friend), height is just above first story window so a standard ladder will be ok, just never fitted one of these before so not sure how long they actually take to fit and what the going rate is.

    As is often said on here, everyone’s rate is different depending on their overheads and skills.

    This is a snippet of a trade installers rate from an email I received last year..

    One man crew with van and tools;
    from £25.00 p/h

    Two man crews;
    from £38.00 p/h Days,
    from £45.00 p/h Nights

    I’d probably allow 3 or 4 hours by the time you’ve loaded the van, erected a tower (I don’t use ladders for this type of work) installed, packed up and unloaded

    Hope that gives you an idea.

    certainly looks very much the same as the Cherwell trim with the step in the rear fixing area.
