Anyone seen or used one off these yet?

Had some vinyl lettering to replace on a church dibond board and left generator behind, this would have been helpful on a cold day. Seems I stuck the panel in the rebated frames a bit too well otherwise would have brought back

    Priced around 350.00 I believe

Chris, I had to remove some text from a dibond estate directory board last year, only 50mm upper & lowercase, I had my heatgun but forgot the extension lead so I used a pencil blowtorch with great success. Not much good on a breezy day of course but it saved me driving back to the workshop.

blimey remember buying on of those too, struggled to fill it up if I remember.

I do have map gas and nozzle in van but a little too fierce for a delicate sign.

Often thought there should be a gas and battery portable hot air gun. Gas to heat an element and battery to operate the fan….alas nothing on the market.
Usually just use a portable ‘plumbers’ gas torch with a big ol’ flame roaring out the front if no access to power. Used with care I’ll happily strip signs and even cars/vans as speed is the biggest concern. Keep it wafting and monitor surface temperature. Zero scorching…can even blow over your hands if you move quick enough.
Great for post heating too and giving vinyl an extra bonding boost in the cold weather.

Ive always had a blow torch in my kit for years now. actually have two. ones just a cheap B&Q one cost about a tenner.
great for when you get caught out on a small job.
I much prefer that cordless heat gun, think i will buy one of those!

guy says 20 mins per battery. which is understandable as heat guns put out around 2000kw

    So did anyone get one?

I got mine last week. Havnt given it a good run yet. But very handy addition to the workshop. We run the 18v range in the workshop.

Dosnt go as hot as the mains gun.
Didn’t heat up as quick as they say.
Not sure on run time yet.

But that said we all like it. I got it for €190 body only.
