Our Mutoh printer had an issue with the heater relay board. Stafford was spot on with the problem but changing the board seams to have caused a different problem (or maybe the problem was there before).
If any of the heaters are turned on even to 30C they get hotter and hotter (way beyond 30C) and then comes up with Error 76, 77, 78 depending on the heater I turn on.
I thought I might have had be a bad new relay board, so I’ve replaced the faulty relay on the original board but it still has the same heater errors.
    has anyone got any ideas?

This is certainly a strange one. And I’d have suspected the new board too but maybe it’s the heater controller board (different to the relay board) or cable? Worst case, mainboard? I’d start with the cable the goes from the relay board to controller board.

Thanks I’ll order one of them. It would be nice if it was just that.
Is there an alternative to Digiprint Supplies? Their postage on small items seams expensive.

In the meantime we’ve got the heaters attached to a plug and manually turning them on and off.
Definitely a bodge but at least we can print again.

Redneck heater controls, like it 😀

We buy the majority of our Mutoh stuff from Colourgen, which has its fair share of over pricing and shipping woes.
