  • Vinyl For Anodized Aluminium?

Posted by Matt Roberts on 19 January 2017 at 14:26

    Hi All,

I’ve potentially got a nice job lined up, but it’s wrapping aluminium boxes (photo attached), I’m not sure if this is anodized or another type of finish. It’s slightly textured with a matte finish/feel.

I’ve got some Mactac high adhesive vinyl on it’s way to me, which is apparently for hard to stick to substrates…. but I’m just anxious it wont be good enough, as the bog standard vinyl REALLY doesn’t want to stick to it at all.

    Any ideas or thoughts?

Another company has been wrapping these, so I know a solution is out there, just got to figure out what it is.

    Matt

    Thanks, Iain!

Who do you order from? Neither of my regular suppliers stock it.

Just wanted to say thanks to you both for posting, especially Iain.

That vinyl is SO much better than the other "high tack" vinyl I’ve been sold before (from legit suppliers), the customer was really happy so we landed the job, all thanks to this forum!
