I made one very similar to Phills for a customer but then never put it up as I was worried that the effects of the wind might quickly cause it to fail along the joins. Ended up just using a standard projecting sign instead. Thought about using ally angle bonded or riveted at the joins to give it a bit more strength but never got round to trying it. Countersunk rivets would probably be ok & still keep the faces completely flat but then you have to think about covering it to hide the heads :blushing:
The outer aluminium skin is very thin & a projecting sign will move a bit no matter how light the winds are.
I just wasn’t confident enough to risk putting it outside. Phill has his one in the unit & I am sure as an internal sign they would be completely fine 😆 😆Still kicking about the unit somewhere, will have to find it & take a couple of pictures 😆

How do you intend to bend it? 2mm ally isn’t as easy to bend in a straight line as you might think or you you have a bending machine ?
You will also probably get a tighter radius curve using 3mm composite that has been v-grooved as opposed to 2mm solid ally sheet plus the composite will be cheaper. I used to do quite a lot of work with 2mm ally years ago but had the tools to be able to do that 😆 😆
