Help! Easymount issue, engineer?
Hi all,
My easymount SH1400 has developed a fault whereby the lower roller is juddering a bit before it then runs smooth, works better at higher speeds but still, there’s a fault that shouldn’t be ignored.Anyone know what this may be or, is it a job for an engineer – to who should I go?
Machine is just 4yrs old so no warranty

It sounds like a similar issue ours has. Apparantly it’s the control board behind the screen.
Try and loosen some tension off the laminate see if that helps?
You could try speaking to Lewis at Vivid, always found him knowledgable and helpful.

Yes Cheryl, the laminatore is the one I got with the printer, it’s just 4yrs old but, if it’s done the same amount of work as the printer (they were – I’m told, sold together, px’d and resold together) then it’s done less work than I know some do in a month!The issue seems to have sorted itself out now, I’ll check all the wiring etc again although I did think it was more mechanical.
First thing I did was to remove the lam as I thought it might be something to do with too much pressure, looking at my lam’s it could be argued there’s it want’s a bit more pressure! removing the lam made no difference..Like I say, seem’s to have cured itself for now, as long as it gets me through the next couple of days!

sometimes the first few meters of new rolls are stiffer to unwind also you could check chain tension and that the clutch is tight. Mine developed a similar fault and when i checked the clutch fixings had come looseKev

I’ll keep this in mind if it does it again, it’s about 20m into a new roll though.H
