  • Is Photoshop on the cloud my only option?

Posted by Denise Goodfellow on 5 June 2016 at 17:07

    Hi
We are employing a full time designer and wish to buy Photoshop and Illistrator for a new mac.
Is a subscription the only option now?

    Thanks

It is unless you buy an older cs version. Good thing is you get all the updates as soon as there out and no contract period. Rob

it is the cloud based package we run for both Illustrator and Photoshop…
As Robert has said, you are always on the ball with the very latest software, support etc.
I was actually wondering when the likes of Signlab, or Impact Vehicle Library software will make this type of move and do same. May not work for all business models i guess.

I would also get Indesign while you were at it. It’s a must for designing with both vectors and images

It’s fantastic, I wouldn’t design vehicles on it but anything flat defo. Illustrator is for vectors and illustrations and photoshop is for rasters and photos, Indesign brings them both together.
It has elements from PS and AI with all the text editor of Word. Look on YouTube for demos.
90% of my work is done in Indesign
