Flatbed Laminator – Need to buy one – Supplier & Advice
Guys,
I’m unable to get up to the show this year due to some commitments I can’t get out of.
We are looking for a flatbed laminator so far we have had the unusual brands offered to us
* Rolls Roller
* Roll Over
* Mounter Mater (Not heard to much on this one – Website is also not working)
* Bubble Free Applicators (Josero – Again no contact from these guys yet) * Machine looks great
* Monster (Radecal) concerned that this looks like a cheap Chinese import – No offence
* CWT from Papergraphics (* Most expensive of the bunch)We are looking at one that can take a 3m x 1.5m sheet as minimum and 3m x 2m if available
I’m hoping some of the board members can offer some advice on these and any experience they may have had.
Our sole purpose for this would to laminate boards
If any of the suppliers are reading this I would be keen to hear from you to, we are good to move on this, I was hoping to have a deal at the show but that’s unlikely now.

We have a Mounters mate 3000×1500 and its served every purpose for us, customer service is great, delivery was very fast and we did shop around a lot.
We went and seen the rolls roller- I was impressed but costly. Roll over, seemed a good machine but didn’t feel solid or something just didn’t seem right. CWT… I was expecting a free car with my quoted price (compressor not included lol) which took me to my Mounters mate, we already bought a roll to roll previously so knew what to expect, Price was spot on, delivery was a few weeks and it’s performed everything brilliantly.
Give them a call mate as they are definetly worth a chat with.

Thanks for all the feedback on this, we went for the Bubble Free machine from Josero in the end.

After making initial contact with us via facebook, didn’t bother to get us a quote back or anything must really be busy over there, not hungry enough to close a deal.

Was our number one choice but supplier just couldn’t get to the price point we wanted

Very proactive with emails etc, gave us a good price point as well.

After initially nothing from them, Steve called me from SignUK and gave me all the details about the machine, we went to see him a couple of days later, took a live job with us, 5 sheets of full size printed foamex, quick demo and 20 mins later our production guy was laminating these himself.
Great looking kit, had a deal with Steve on the day, its a small purchase for us in the grand scheme of things but I must say the service was better then some of the suppliers we have spent hundreds of thousands with. Top marks to the team at Josero. They even gave us the option of having the table painted in our own company colours but as we wanted the machine ASAP we settled for one in the standard colour….Order placed on 28th of April machine being installed on the 9th….Pretty good turnaround if you ask me. Oh and to add 5 years warranty as well….

Great price point at 2k cheaper then everyone else, just felt the machine didn’t look solid enough.

I’ve always been very hungry when it comes to business and closing deals, I was shocked at how laid back some suppliers are and not really looking to close any serious deals. The larger firms just didn’t care, I guess its the whole employee scenario where there just see it as a job, where as the smaller firms which are owner run companies really went the extra mile, so well done to them.

Good write up James. I use to deal with josero for my inks when I was still on solvent and the service was very good. Never had a problem once.
We literally couldn’t go without our flatbed now… As you say it’s a small price compared to other but it’ll soon become one of your most important lol!
I have one of the above companies calling me ALOT of times everyday as we are about to pull the trigger on a few bits of kit but if I’m honest they are pushing that much it’s making me want to hold off till next year and go with a Tekcel alongside your thoughts on one of their products I think I may be right.

You can’t go wrong with a Tekcel we upgraded our AXYZ 6010 router to a tekcel with a camera and full knife cutting too
