i got an install with ecosol max 3 last month, my first big printer ( bn-30 😉 lol)

issue i had and was confirmed by xpres, that media they sold me for printing t shirt vinyls "solvent dark plus" wasn’t compatible, was fading very bad after first wash. also had same issue with stahls sportsfilm.

gave me "easyprint" works a treat.

i cant really offer any feedback regarding big prrinting etc i really only make small decals with it other than garment stuff.

Not sure our VS-640 is compatable yet but wonder at the need/benefit to upgrade to EM3 if and when VS is added to list. My concern is that (apart from my luddite ‘if it aint broke don’t fix it’ philosophy and our EM1’s work fine) that we have invested time and money to profile our most used media types and this would have to be done if we changed over. Also what are the chances of all inks being low at the same stage. Expensive to throw away nearly full ones as Roland currently only offering full swap outs?

But my main concern is that we do a lot of repeat work and can consistently match previous output. Think we would struggle to match even with reprofiling as ink formulation is different?

Would be interested in others views.
    All the best
    Hugh
