TAKE YOUR CREATIVITY TO NEW HEIGHTS WITH THE ALL NEW
    VERSAUV LEJ-640FT FLATBED UV PRINTER

Clevedon, UK, 12th April 2016 – Roland DG (UK) LTD are pleased to announce the launch of the VersaUV LEJ-640FT, the newest in the series of popular UV ink-based printers. With a sleek design and improved usability, the LEJ-640FT represents the next generation of wide format flatbed printers in the VersaUV range.

Designed with production versatility in mind, the LEJ-640FT offers businesses the size and functionality of a flatbed with the flexibility of ECO-UV inks, including Gloss and White for luxury effects and textures. Capable of printing on flexible or rigid substrates or objects up to 150mm (6 inches) in height, and 100kg in weight, the combination of instant curing and ability to print on a variety of non-traditional substrates makes the LEJ-640FT the ultimate in versatility in the flatbed market.

Mark Elvidge, Business Development Manager, Roland DG (UK) Ltd, says: “The VersaUV LEJ-640FT is a product we’re proud to add to our UV range. With improved production workflow, a large, robust print area and advanced ECO-UV inks, the LEJ-640FT will provide the ideal solution to businesses who need something on a larger scale than the VersaUV LEF-300.”
The LEJ-640FT offers a 1606mm x 2490mm (63.25” x 98”) print area*, making it ideal for printing on anything from signage and packaging prototypes to guitar cases and heavier substrates. With the LEF-640FT’s quadruple zone vacuum technology, printing on large quantities of smaller substrates or items is also simple; allowing for multiple workflows within one space and improving production.

The LEJ-640FT is also ideal for a busy print shop, where technicians may run multiple machines in tandem and manpower is at a premium. With the flatbed not requiring an external compressor, the floor space required is greatly reduced and the machine is more accessible from all sides, whist the innovative Handy Panel included offers high levels of machine control without a loss of movement or being tethered to one workflow.

Mark Continues, “With the included Handy Panel and quad zoned vacuum bed, a multi-product workflow with the LEJ-640FT is effortless. Intuitive controls, full Roland DG support and easy ways to keep track on your printing ensure using a wide format flatbed is as simple as using any of our UV printers, leaving you to achieve perfect prints and profits.”

Included with the LEJ-640FT are a number of added benefits; firstly, Roland DG’s VersaWorks RIP software, the ideal way to produce high-quality prints with ease. Secondly; Roland OnSupport which enables you to remotely track your production, with automatic alerts to your computer or smart phone to update you on the requirements of the printer for even more convenient print runs. Finally, the LEJ-640FT is supported with a one-year Silver RolandCare warranty, providing peace of mind to new users.

The VersaUV LEJ-640FT will be on display for the first time in the UK at Sign & Digital UK, taking place from the 19th-21st April 2016 at Birmingham NEC. Visit the Roland DG (UK) Ltd stand (H30) for live demonstrations and further product information.

Roland DG to host informative presentations at Sign & Digital UK 2016

Roland DG has today announced it will be hosting a selection of informative presentations at this year’s premier sign making and digital printing event, Sign & Digital UK 2016, including daily live product demonstrations of the newly launched Roland DG TrueVIS VG print and cut series and an informative Business Theatre Seminar to advise wide format eco-solvent printer owners how to maintain their machine for optimal life-span and production results.

TrueVIS VG Series live product demonstrations
Roland DG’s latest printer and cut range, the TrueVIS VG series, will be introduced to visitors for the first time ever in the UK through insightful product demonstrations led by Rob Goleniowski, Sales Support Manager, Roland DG UK. The live product demonstrations will take place daily on the Roland DG stand (H30) at 12pm and are not to be missed during the 3-day show.
The TrueVIS VG series is the most efficient and productive series yet, with a number of advanced features to make it the ideal solution for businesses working to meet high production levels across a range of industries.
The printer/cutter machine, which is available in two sizes (64-inch and 54-inch), boasts numerous new features such as four new advanced FlexFire printheads with 3 variable drop sizes, new 500cc pouches of TrueVIS INK available in 3 ink configurations which provide a wide colour gamut and fast drying times, a new cutting head with increased downforce and accuracy, new mobile technology in the Roland DG Mobile Panel Software to control your printer from an existing phone or tablet, and new inbuilt LED lighting to illuminate the print carriage and maintenance areas for easy maintenance.

Delegates attending the demonstrations, which take place at 12pm daily, will be led through each new feature and relating benefit of the VG Series first-hand by Goleniowski, who says “There are so many new features to the TrueVIS VG Series which together work in harmony to ensure that the machines product high quality graphics while maximising efficiency and productivity levels during every print run.”
Business Theatre Seminar – “Looking after your wide format eco-solvent machine”
As the UK market’s leading manufacturer of wide format eco-solvent digital printers for durable graphics, Roland DG’s is well placed to take to the stage at the Sign & Digital Business Theatre to help inform visitors on best practice machine maintenance.

The "Looking after your wide format eco-solvent machine" seminar, presented by Mike Kryvoblocki, RolandCare Supervisor and Technical Trainer at Roland DG UK, will take place from 14.00-14.30hrs on the 19th and 21st April, and 13.15-13.45hrs on 20th April. The session teaches attendees the importance of user maintenance for wide format eco-solvent machines, focussing in on individual cleaning procedures for print heads, manual cleaning methods for cap tops and wipers, along with advice on frequency and other maintenance tips and tricks which will keep their wide format machines running at optimal performance and prolong their machine lifecycle.
Kryvoblocki will also cover feed calibration; an important issue which is often overlooked by print professionals, but can lead to inconsistent output if set improperly. Mike will ensure visitors to the session are aware of the different types of set-ups required for each media input and have a better understanding of what an ‘ideal’ feed calibration test print should look like.
Kryvoblocki comments “In addition to the everyday best practice maintenance processes that can be so easy to overlook, I will be delving into operator level inspections and replacements for wipers, cutting strips and blades. Attendees will also be taught how to set up contour blades, and bi directional adjustment. What I want to give is a holistic view into how regular maintenance can reduce downtime and improve production quality which is so important in our industry.”

    Scratch & Win
Visitors to Sign & Digital UK will also be offered the opportunity to add the latest piece of industry technology to their business by entering Roland DG’s Scratch and Win prize draw; with a chance to win a choice of the TrueVIS VG-640 print and cut device or the SOLJET EJ-640 printer, as well as many other exciting prizes.

The Sign & Digital UK 2016 event offers a unique, market place for the sign making, display and digital printing industries. The event will take place on the 19-21 April 2016, Halls 17-18 at The NEC Birmingham where Roland DG will be exhibiting on stand H30.
