  Boat wrapping question! help please

  Hi All, we have done a part wrap on a 11m powerboat today, and we have used hexis HX2000, and i am just re-reading the boat wrapping application guides, and they recommend sealing with varnish. I have bought said varnish, and done a test on some of our scaffold, and we cant get a decent flat finish (see photo) as the wrap is not near the waterline, is it really necessary, both client and ourselves doesn’t like how it looks? My plan was to stick a 4cm silver vinyl line over the top to seal it and finish it off? I will speak to Hexis in the morning, but would love some opinions!! We never seal boat stripes and this is just a fat one of those really and they are much nearer the waterline? I can understand sealing if it is near the waterline, and can be hidden by the antifoul.

  just to update for anyone searching in the future! We placed 8mm silver lines over the wrap ends (4cm looked too thick), and then put some masking tape either side, and sealed the whole lot. We found out that you can water down the xylene sealer with turps, and then it applies much to a much better finish, and we found a silicone brush was the best tool for the job!
