L shape freestanding structure (cheap and easy)?
Hi,
We have to do a freestanding L shape structure that will be covered in graphics, indoor.
Height: 3300mm
Width 1: 2400mm
Width 2: 3660mmWe could make a MDF/plywood structure and apply vinyl but this seems overkilling because it is only required for 1 day event. Plus it involves a lot of carpentry work and a bit of money for materials.
On the other hand, all common boards (foamex, honeycomb etc.) are not tall enough because I was thinking to do direct print on boards and hang them on a wooden skeleton. The drawback would be the gaps between boards which I think will not be easily accepted but…
Anyone has done something like this before? Any idea will be appreciated, either vinyl or direct print on boards.

Can you not hang something like banner material make a couple of L shaped tubes thread on top suspended tube use the bottom to weigh down and keep shape. Or just have one banner. The problem with the wood is it is very heavy and will still be able to tilt one way which could be an accident waiting to happen,

Here in NZ you can get foamex (called Signex here) in 3660x1500mm sheets.
Id be surprised if you couldnt find it in the UK as well.Simon

if you have a wooden skeleton frame
why not a fabric system fabric can be blackbacked so no show through
all one piece so no joins

Good point Simon, thank you. Google cannot find something like this in the UK but I will make few phone calls to check with our suppliers.
