  • Coffin vinyl biodegradable?

Posted by Martyn on 12 January 2016 at 10:01

Hi i have been asked about coffin wraps and started to do some research.

One thing i am stuck on which im sure will be an issue is finding biodegradable vinyl.

The only option i have found is using printable adhesive wallpaper but im not sure this would look right.

Any thoughts would be a great help

From memory there is an Oracal biodegradable Ground/Masonary Wrap that fragments once applied.
again from memory it should not be laminated and ideally should be UV printed. I have never used it and this goes back a couple of years so maybe better checking on this.

Is the person’s clothing or internal fabrics in a coffin, brass handles etc biodegradable? I doubt it…

Hi thanks for the reply. Thats exactly what i was thinking regarding other materials being used in the coffin. Maybe its not something i have to worry about too much. I think the best way forward is to contact the funeral parlor themselves and find out what requirements they have.
