Since ASG were appointed as an approved contractor for the JLP partnership in 2007, ASG have been involved in various projects from new builds, re-model sites and internal signage projects across the JLP estate. ASG have installed new external signage for 6 new stores and have delivered replacement external and internal signage for 11 existing stores across the UK.

These include two new stores which were branded “John Lewis at Home” in Chichester and Newbury and their latest main new store at Westfield Stratford City. On all new build sites, ASG are involved at a very early stage (circa 18 months prior to opening) and work with the store designers and developers to make sure all information and technical details are presented well in advance for comment/approval.

This information normally consists of signage technical details, weights, proposed fixing types and locations, cable routes and switchgear positioning and any access issues that may need to be overcome before – or during, the construction stage. In carrying out this process, we can identify issues that may need to be addressed and discuss these with the build teams.

With this forward planning, the actual installation of signage commences on time, to budget and to programme, which is of great importance to the developer and JLP project teams. ASG are also currently working on new stores which are scheduled to be delivered by the group in 2013-14.
