hi chris thanks for the update
just started getting some reflective from paperlinx 🙁
which was working well
thanks againderek

Yes thanks Chris been looking for someone who supplies 551 myself although personally wish it had been another supplier. Last time I dealt with Spandex I got the feeling they weren’t interested in a Company as small as mine.

I’ve been told that the sign & display division of Paperlinx has been bought out, and re-branded as Europoint. Not sure what brand materials they will be supplying, or which offices will remain open, but it will be self adhesives, rigid PVC, signage materials, etc, but not packaging or paper.

Antalis have a £100 minimum order value now 😉
I too have heard that S&D side of RHG has been bought out, and re-branded as Europint.
-
Antalis let me down badly yesterday so this really is better news for me.

The VTS business, which supplied kit and substrates to the wide-format market, was acquired by Vink-owned Quantum Europoint, a sister company to Knutsford-based wide-format substrate supplier Amari Plastics, which had been named as a possible buyer earlier this week.
The deal completed yesterday (23 April).
Vink Holdings chief executive officer David Williams said the new business would trade as Europoint with a total of 66 staff transferring over, including the managing director during administration Frank Moran, who will head up Europoint.
"The initial plan is that we will be selling all substrates and media. Equipment sales are under review," said Williams.Hard to tell from that if they will be selling cad cut vinyl such as 551
I phoned Antalis over a week ago to see if I could get vinyl prices for 551, was told I had to open an account which I did although wasn’t prepared to answer some of the questions they asked. Was told I would be sent the info I requested & I am still waiting.

Yes Europoint and the original Europoint team which was acquired when several paper giants merged many years ago has resurfaced via Vink and selling both the full range of Avery and Oracal.
-
do you have contact details Rob? Really need to get supplies sorted out
-
Apparently all orders to be placed via Northampton to begin with 01604 673408
-
You could also try The Vinyl Corporation in Nottingham, they have never let us down in 15 years
-
Vinyl Corporation don’t stock 551 anymore, don’t know if it is true but someone said they were supplied by Paperlinx
-
quote Martin Pearson:someone said they were supplied by Paperlinx
That’s my understanding too.

Hi Rob,
I received a letter from Europoint this morning – as many others have I’m sure.
The 4th paragraph states ‘All previous credit account terms and conditions of trade remain unchanged and the data
regarding your account has been transferred to Europoint’Simply – Does this mean we will continue to receive UKSG discounts?
Apologies if this has already been discuss elsewhere.
Thanks
Dan

Interesting
Having lost our one main supplier of Oracal (PaperlinX) it now looks like we
have the choice of three suppliers (Spandex, Antalis & Europoint)Just have to wait now for Rob’s email to see who we can get discounts from.
