  • Price cut sign vinyl lettering weeded / application tape

    Hi Gang,

I have started to get asked a little more regarding basic cut vinyl lettering and was looking for advice on how you go about your pricing. More a formula as opposed to actual price as I know this may from person to person, area, media used etc.

You may charge a certain amount per linear metre or cm2 etc but how do you tackle pricing up basic cut jobs of differing sizes that are weeded and jobs that are weeded and have application tape applied?
As there is going to be a whole lot more work cutting/weeding etc a linear metre of 20mm high letters than there would be a linear metre of 200mm high letters..

So just looking for some advice really. Are there any basic formulae or price brackets you use for multiplying cost for certain sizes or do you use the same pricing but then just factor in the time taken. (this is another reason I ask, as if so, I haven’t done much plain lettering and therefore wouldn’t really know how to accurately integrate time factor in to a 200mm or 20mm job, for example)

    Any input greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Jon
