    Hi Guys and Gals

I’m Having a major keeping my Graphtec ce5000-60 to stay on track! even with feed! why oh why does these things happen when you’ve got a mountain of work to do!

I’ve tried cleaning the lower bar checked the rollers are clean and tight. I’ve tried pre feeding 3 metres of vinyl and it goes out fine, and back again. Until the last foot or so. it goes a few mill out but after you start cutting it gets worse and worse. its a brand new roll of vinyl which I normally find better. I think I will phone Graphtec tomorrow to order new rollers but just wondered if there is anything else I could try if that isn’t the problem.

    Thanks

    Martin

    Hi
this can be a backing paper problem, have you tried an older roll of vinyl on the cutter to see if it occurs

Yes I am cutting from a old roll just now and its still all over the place! ive had problems before with this but never this bad. ive seen me feed out vinyl and if it goes off track stop and roll it back on the roll and try again till im happy with it but ive done this so much times tonight its unreal!

are the rollers on the back adjustable? on the rear of the summa I can move the rear-most roller, if it isn’t square it can cause this problem, lots of hea scratching and a very simple cause!

did one have a roll of LG that somehow appeared to have been cut with a bit of a skew, always ran off so I binned it!

if the rollers have a lever on the rear it is adjustable pressure light or normal should be equal, easy to knock one when loading

I spoke to Graphtec today and he thinks it might be the grip on the lower bar that is worn as it is set up for a full roll all the time! ive tried moving it ever so slightly across abit more but I cant move it much as I still need to cut 580mm. he said to slow the speed down a bit which might help and ive took a blow gun to the rear bar where the bar connects to the rollers as there was abit of fluff between them. that seams to be working better now but think I will maybe still get a new lower roller £180

    Thanks
