Corel X3: colour picking tool doesn’t select colours – help?
Corel X3
I have just had to do a complete computer re-install after a meltdown and now the colour picking tool does not select any colours, I have searched high and low for some sort of command to switch it on but to no avail.
Any Corel guru out there that knows the answer?

When you click and hold on the eye dropper tool it gives you a choice of two……it hasn’t defaulted to the Attributes Eyedropper has it?
If that’s not the case it isn’t set to select from desktop rather than the drawing page?
That’s about all I can think of as far as the settings go

Glenn’s reply would have been my first thought. I’m back in the shed on Monday and I’ll run X3 and refresh my memory on it as I haven’t used it for yonks in the mean time try opening Draw with F8 pressed and reset the default workspace (save your customised one first if you have one) When Draw has opened try the eyedropper again if it works import your customised workspace and try again.
Workspace reset can sort loads of issues. -
Thanks guys, it had reverted to the object attributes, the problem was I was looking at all the menus and not on the bottom bar, never noticed those come up on previous program loadings. All sorted and back to normal now.
