Posted by John McCormick on 19 October 2014 at 12:32Do you advise new customers to bring in a boards in high winds or is it common sense (not that common sense is all that common these days) ?

common sense tells the customer high winds will take it along with anything else not pinned down.
the only time i think it would be the sign makers fault is when he sells an internal pavement sign for external use.unfortunately, we will be blamed by the occasional customer pointing blame for their own stupidity. to help prevent/reduce this type of complaint it would be an idea to have a piece of paper with best practice of use bullit pointed on the paper and taped to the sign face.

That’s a stupid idea Rob!!
How are all their customers going to read the sign if you’ve stick that on the front of it?? 😕

where are you finding these "internal pavements" Rob 😀 😀

A notice would get you out of a lot of potential problems down the road. I might start doing that in the future – thanks Rob.
I know its a "Caution Contents are hot" type approach that makes everyone laugh, but you really cant underestimate the stupidity of some people.

Do you think I might have a case against the petrol station that failed to put up a sign warning me not to fill up my diesel car with petrol? (After all – how was I to know) 😕

Oh dear Phill.
We have an old saying:
Once is a mistake, twice is forgetfulness, three times is stupidity 😉
