I know nothing about signs and displays, my line is printingT shirts and vinyl lettering for vehicles so I really need some guidance here please
A friend of mine has rented a stand at the dive show and has asked me if I could do the backdrop for him, the stand he has is 3m x 3m with back and one side enclosed, so it is basically 6 panels each panel is 950mm wide x 2340mm high, he wants his logo to cover the 6 panels. My first problem is the file he has given me is square so when I size it, it distorts, is there anything I can do about this? My second problem is, what do I have the backdrop printed on, the stand panels are smooth, so I was thinking printed vinyl that I could stick to the panels and remove to be used again, is this viable?(any other suggestions greatly appreciated).
My real big problem is someone to print whatever I need for me, I am based in Milton Keynes.
Here is a crude mock up of what we want the stand to look like.

We’ve printed these on 3mm foamex (customer had a van) and also on so flat roller banner material for another customer (who used his car). Both easy to fix to the stand (without damaging it!) and reusable.

We print these on a specialist textured material using UV inks, requires no lamination and can be rolled up and applied to panels using velcro.

Design for this type of stand.

We have printed a lot of this type of graphics for retail and trade customers some customers like rigid panels 5mm foam pvc board some like James has said on the textured material that can be rolled up for storage when not in use this is the same material used on the curved pop ups displays.

Hope this helps you make the decision on what is best for your customer

You won’t be able to make the square logo fit a rectangular panel without distorting. You have a couple of different options though, firstly cut/crop it so you lose half the logo, secondly make it fit over 2 whole panels instead.
Other option would be to change the design slightly so you had the 6 panels with the logo at the top then a solid colour at the bottom or maybe a picture of something he does in the bottom section of each panel.

For a totally different type of design try to think of the 6 panels as the side of a van if you are use to doing vehicle graphics.
