  Converting sj-540 to dye sub – help please?

  Hi all, I have an old soljet (ex uniform) that has been sitting around, and my question is, can this be converted to dye sub? I am pretty sure the heads have had it, so would get new heads.

  so my questions are

  is it worth it?
  can i used water based dye, through water based dx4s
  can i disable the lc and lm so in effect will be using 4 colour cmyk.
  is the water based dye ink suitable for outdoor flags
