Saw this today in my local high street
I wonder did they run out of pop ons or did they just leave the letters behind at the workshop.

Would never happen to us of course ahhemm!

Could be worse, one of our customers advised us of several addresses round the city requiring signs / banners installed (1500×2500) and we photographed the sites and even superimposed the signage on every one of the 9 sites.

Call today informing us that two had been put on the wrong BUILDINGS that they didn’t own.

So much for their info, our visuals and even sitting down in the office with us to agree what was going where…proof indeed that customers pay no attention to proofs or designs.

Maybe the customer’s paying in instalments?

Or maybe they aren’t paying at all …, I bet we have all done or at least been tempted to do it

I had a similar bit of Oooh Fu….. this afternoon.

One of our rigging teams is on a job about 1200km away from home. ACM fascia for a bank, going around corners of the building etc.

I had a VERY detailed set of site photos and a site survey. Made the fascia….but "overlooked" the one wall was a inside measurement between coloumns. (all others were measured OUTSIDE measurement)

Now the fascia is about 1000mm short. Couriers can only pick up Monday, and deliver Wednesday 😳

So, a trip of 1200km each way for one of our guys tomorrow. Or rather, there tomorrow, and back the day after.

The bossman was strangely quite this afternoon…… 🙄

    That’s 2400km to cover with 1 metre!!!! That’s a very expensive metre

    You telling me, John….

About 250 litres of diesel, 1 overnight in an expensive tourist type establishment, 2 days "out allowance", 10 hrs normal overtime, 10 hours double time for Sunday, wear and tear on vehicle, site team (2 guys) delayed for 2 days, with accommodation cost, overtime, etc…..

The information was right in front of me. Another tick in the "assume" box of school fees….. 🙁
