I use FontExplorerX which if find quite good, especially because it works great with Adobe CS6 software, it only activates fonts when you need it and you can simply organize your fonts by type, name…
I am currently switching to SuitCaseFusion which I find more powerful.
Probably depends what software you use Ewan, I tried a couple of font managers a few years ago & they didn’t work with all the software I used. Things might have changed now though as that was some time ago.
