Largest and thickest size foamex sheets
Posted by Unknown Member on 15 June 2014 at 09:42Guys
As the title suggests, what is the largest size foamex sheet available I’ve always bought forex print at 3m x 1.5m looking for 3m x 2m with 15- 20mm thickness…
Is this even available?

I’ve bought 3050mm x 2040mm before – but only in 10mm, from Trent Plastics.

Thanks for that buddy!
I regularly buy pallets loads of 3x 1.5 for printing on to.
Never had the need for 3×2 will give them a go on Monday
Thanks for your prompt reply

James as Simon has said I think you will find foamex will be porous, I wouldn’t use it personally. Plus it is also very temperature sensitive so maintaining a perfectly flat surface might be difficult.
If your having problems with hold down then make sure the zone valves are tight so no loss through unused zones & cover as many of the exposed holes as possible on the zones being used, even something like vinyl backing paper should improve things. Sealing the MDF as Simon suggests will also help. -
Martin,
Thank you for your comments.
The MDF works great don’t get me wrong….
Medite board is what we have been using the only issue is we cant get it in a 3m x 2m
so we have a couple sheets that are cut to size and paid side by side and then skimmed.
My question was originally focused around the white sheeted bed being used on the Tekcel machines….Someone suggested it was called Comaprint…
I’ve searched for Comaprint but can’t seem to find it.
I did ask Tekcel if this could be bought separately but they were acting very evasive when asked about it, the funny thing is I’m almost certainly going to be upgrading our CNC machine to Tekcel later next year don’t know why they just didn’t tell me.
Anyone here running a Tekcel machine and wish to share some light on the mysterious white bed material?

It could be Teflon. You will need deep pockets though (in your trousers, I mean. Not in the material)
😀 😀
