Roland cuttings problems again
Hi i seemed to solve my cutting problems by setting the feed settings in versaworks to the printer but my versacamm has now gone on a funny turn again, cutting miles out, i have attached a photo, i thought it might be the encoder strip, so gave it a clean but its still cutting off

That looks like media drift. It won’t be the encoder as the cutter does not use it only the print head. Something worth checking is the pinch rollers at the ends as they can get hairline cracks in them. I just changed mine after reading a post by Simon Worrall and all is good again. (Cheers Simon)
