Anybody know an alternative to Istockphoto/getty images.

We’ve found their prices have gone through the roof! £50.00 for a single picture of a flower! 😮

Anybody any other recommendations for online libraries?

    We use http://www.Fololia.co.uk the most.
which is ironic because fotolia approached uksignboards.com around 8-9 years ago on the basis of a form of partnership and I declined. :banghead: :lol1: :lol1:

it has grown allot since then and as much as its not the most competitive, the quality and variety is very good.

    Yep, I second Fotolia.

I don’t often have the need to purchase images however when I do, they’re the first place I look as the website is easy to follow and the prices are reasonable.

    Cheers guys.

We found a very similar image @ 4credits, rather than the 45credits!

If we have a customer come to us wanting images galore, we point them to Istock and send us the image number. We got tired of spending hours trawling for an image, for the customer to now like it.

With Shutterstock you dont have all that credits malarkey where the large images cost a lot of credits. I just buy five downloads at a time and you can download the image at any size.

I use shutterstock regularely but…. they’re not geared up for signmakers!

When I say that I mean that I was uncertain of some of their terms and got in touch with them… it’s ok to put a design on to a website which will potentially be seen by millions but, not to use that same design on a van which may only have a few hundred regular viewers!

the enhanced license doesn’t cover it either – I asked. so Like most people I have the 5images for £30 odd quid, download and take what I need from the vector or image (oh.. you shouldn’t edit it in any way either!) I rarely ever need the full photo etc.

though it’s the best I’ve found and I’ve used them for a number of years. The only annoying thing is the stupid ai vectors that instead of having a single fade / fountain fill, have thousands of layers when imported into corel!

I use signelements.com or isignstock as it was known, I pay for the yearly subscription
And on average I’m getting 10-15 images a week which works for me, also if I see anything I like or think maybe useful I get them aswell. I tried pay as you go for a while and was spending a fortune
