Hi guys we should be getting our new printer next week and I’m looking at some stock.
Our budget is tight but don’t want to go with dodgy vinyl as obviously thats not the right way to go about thing.

In the past I used a LG vinyl that I swore was as good as MD5 and I just can’t remember the name of it as it was many years ago before we stopped trading.

I came across this offer and think its great for a polymeric vinyl 5-7yr.

Have any of you used this as I’m hoping I can get confirmation its a good vinyl??? Hope its as good as the MD5 or at least the same one I was very happy with many years ago..

Actually Chris you state the obvious and I hate to admit your right I have not checked the prices out lately. So I make sure first thing I will. I was more curious as to what LG vinyl I enjoyed using a while back and was hoping it was this one and to get opinions on it to be honest.

MD5 has always been a great product and I doubt it will ever lose its crown for being the most versatile of vinyls and most popular too

My personal feelings on vinyl choice is don’t buy cheap…buy what works for your market.

MD3 these days…prints beautifully for general use.
Used Arlon previously. More expensive but profile matching was an issue to get pleasing prints.

And regardless of whether your media costs £2 a metre or £10 a metre, if you can’t make money with your own printer you’re in the wrong business! It might hurt dropping hundreds of pounds on a roll on vinyl, but think of the return…

I agree Dave I don’t think LG is a cheap vinyl. I have had experience with LG vinyl and the one I had was very very good.
I think it is safe to stick with what i know as you all agree MD range is one of the best 🙂
