Looking to off load Scrap dibond?
Hi all
Having our usual new year clearout and have loads of aluminium composite off cuts which we need to scrap.
Seems wrong just to chuck them in the skip does anyone know of any recycling schemes or have any clever ideas for disposal -

How much in weight is there?
as I use mine to give to local schools and stuff for art projects, if you were chucking it out and it wont cost a fortune to send Id take it off yor hands -
Hi steve got about half a van load didnt think of schools we already give away vinyl to a primary school i might try some secondary schools

there is a letterheads meet in kent later this year and they will be looking for piles of small panels and the like to paint onto. that might be a good option for you i think.

I would becareful of giving to schools….. sharpe edges and all that.
we save until i keep tripping over them, then they go in the bin.

Scrap yard,
Our local one takes it,not a lot of value but better than nought, we usually leave it ’till weve got any ally to go at same time so not wasting time on a single run for not a lot of return.

I remember being down at the sign show in biringham a few years ago. And someone was offering to take it for recylcing.
Can’t remember the name tho. Maybe was Robert horn, or spandex.

+1 on this. One of my young fellas got the most horrible dirty cut on piece I gave him to use.

Donating it to a meet is a great idea.
You can never have enough panels.
Particularly if I’m at the meet.

So we ended up advertising for free on gumtree and a guy took most of it for a university project
Would still be interested for the future if anyone has a recycler for it my local scrapyard just not interested
