  • Applying Vinyl To Decorative Wall Panel – Help Needed

    Hi All

Long time since I have posted on here, although I do view the forum almost daily.

Hoping someone can clarify a point I have regarding applying vinyl text (approx 500mm W x 1700mm H) to some decorative panels that have been installed at a business local to me.

The panels are fitted to the entrance of a sales office/showroom that is accessed from the warehouse. The panels are sealed MDF with "V – shaped" grooves running vertically, approx every 100mm, the full length of the panels.

I intended to use a matte cast vinyl, (KPMF 7100) due to the grooves, but my question relates to the actual application.

Can someone confirm the best way of applying?

Do I squeegee the vinyl on flat first and then work it into the grooves or work the vinyl into the grooves as I go along ?

Am also intending to lightly heat the vinyl as I apply it due to the warehouse being so cold this time of year.

Sorted – fairly easy actually. Shame about my camera skills though.
