    Hello all,

We are looking to buy a printer but are new to the printing side of the sign industry.

We have been offered a used SP540V 4 years old for £6.5k? Is that a bit steep?

We have a budget of £6-£7k and dont necessarly need the cutting option of a print and cut. Is there a decent stand alone printer for our budget? What sort of money are used Mimakis JV30-130?

Apologies for the endless questions. We obviously want to get this purchase right

    Cheers

I’m sure you’ll get a good solid Mimaki or Roland for that. JV3’s will get around £2-3k in working order, JV33 I’d say around £5-7k depending on condition. It’s a buyers market so a good time to be looking. Try phoning around all the regulars such as Perfect Colours, GPT, Sign Master, Granthams etc and see what they’ve got.

    Good luck.
