GCC Puma III or Graphtec GE6000
Evening all.
Originally posted part of this message on my hello topic but quite possibly in the wrong section so I’ve reposted below hoping some of you may have used either machine
I stumbled across this forum when I was on google (usually the answer to everything) looking for some expertise in this industry.
I have been having a good look through the forum and some old topics before posting up couldn’t find much info on the GCC really.
I’m looking to buy a vinyl cutter / plotter and hoping for some opinions / assistance. I have an average knowledge with vinyl and application but no knowledge on cutters really. I’m ideally looking to buy something that will be useful now as a start up but also last so its not necessary for me to have to purchase a new cutter in 6 months for example.
I’ve been looking at two plotters at the moment
1) GCC Puma III
2) Graphtec GE6000-60It seems the Graphtec is more reputable at least on this forum compared to the GCC but has anyone had any experience with either? Baring in mind the GCC is a few hundred pound cheaper roughly.
If you make a decision please also state why you picked that machine over the other.

Try doing a search on the forum as someone asked about the puma cutters not that long ago. Graphtec are a better known brand which is probably why they seem to be favoured on the forum. Other option for you might be a second user machine any of the well known brands would be suitable & some suppliers sell the machines that they take as trade ins after they have been fully serviced & checked. I would post a link but am rubbish with forum searches lol.

I started out with a second hand creation p cut and very quickly out grew it, I don’t know anything about the Gcc so can’t comment on that.
I have just upgraded to a Graphtec CE6000-60 great machine and very simple to use, and good support from Graphtec. Why not see if you can visit Graphtec or Gcc for a demonstration before taking the plunge?Best advice I was given was to go for something like the Graphtec or a Roland, but I guess it all depends on your budget.

Yeah I think the fact more people have experience with the Graphtec and easier for reviews makes me think it might be worth holding out and paying that little extra.
