    Guys.

I was looking for a bit of advice, we’ve fitted some of this before and never had any issues. – on Monday we fitted a fair bit using the same tried and tested techniques as before and have had a nightmare with it.

Its started going milky in places and looks a mess, I need to re-produce the windows again and install.

Can anyone see where we’ve gone wrong? – Any suggestions?

These were printed with quite a big bleed, should I remove the bleeds and produce at the exact window size?

Any tips for additives to mix with the water? – Alternative squeegees to the hexis tint squeegee used?

check the adhesive with the manufacturer, if its solvent its ok, if its water based it will go milky when wet applied

    Chris.

Thanks for getting back, The supplier sent me the spec sheet, the adhesive is ‘pure polyacrylic , semi permanent, transparent’

I noticed on the spec sheet it states the film can be applied wet or dry. – This stood out..

The product can be installed via dry or wet application techniques, if
using a wet application method care should be taken to ensure that all water is eliminated immediately.

These windows are nearly 3m tall and the marks are mainly around the bottom of the film. I’m not sure the fitters could get nearer the bottom any quicker.

Whats also interesting is where the milkiness is, you can rub the adhesive off by rubbing it with your thumb.

as Chris says classic result of the adhesive not really suitable for wet application, possibly why they say dry as quick as poss.
