Posted by Andrew J Newton on 18 November 2013 at 10:53Hi I am having trouble with my cutter giving error – unable to find knife home position and stopping giving Y-axis error! overflow! Anyone know how I can solve this (I have set all factory defaults) all offers of help appreciated!!

Have you tried art systems? I think they’re still the uk agent for tech support on summa’s.
Failing that how about emailing summa direct, they have both been very helpful to me in the past.
The S- class machines have a 3 year warranty from memory so worth a check if you’re near that, if it needs parts they are eye wateringly expensive as there’s only two boards inside the machine, main board and power supply.If there’s any settings you would like me to compare I can do. But I don’t think there are any.

Summa side-stepped me with "Summa is the manufacturer of the unit. Please contact your dealer for service and support" – will let you know how I get on today (chat.)

Great news – still under warranty, ArtSystems sending an Engineer to replace cutting head – Phew!!!

Great news ArtSystems Dean changed the cutting head and we are up and running! Glad I came to this forum for advice – I am about to ask a question about blades.
