  • Question about saving a document.

Posted by Harry Cleary on 17 October 2013 at 00:00

I have been asked to save a multi-page document at 25% of it’s finished size by a printer. How do you do that, is there an automated way or do I just reduce each page size?
Sorry if it’s an obvious question, it’s way past my bedtime! 🙂

I’m guessing they’re talking about page size rather than file size?

I’d just resize the pages I think. I’d imagine they want the font sizes retained? but images would need to be resized. You’ll probably end up with more actual pages in the finished doc if the font size is retained.

If it is for litho print ita a bit of a strange request but I understand if large format print, on thos occasions there arn’t many pages and I do it manually.

Using print preview in Corel will automatically reduce size as you step and repeat or look at layout tab – click reposition images – click print tiled pages – unlock number of tiles and set to 1 – scale factor 50% in both x and y and lock again. Select print preview

Bit of a faf really I’d just use the sizing percentage on the top property bar

Thanks folks, I thought doing it manually would be the handiest.
