Oracal 951 Metallic Vinyls
Hi all,
I’ve been asked by a regular customer (a body shop) to match vinyl on the wing of a Transit Camper. I’ve narrowed it down to Oracal 951 Metallic numbers 191 (Green Blue) and 676 (Wood Green). I rang Robert Horne who advised me they don’t have any reference to the two colours let alone stock. The customer doesn’t want the vehicle back until the vinyl is fitted.
Does anyone know of anywhere who would be able to supply the above colours? I need less than a metre but may obviously have to buy 5m…
Or does anyone know of another brand that has a good match to those colours in metallic? I’m drawing a blank there.

The nearest to the blue I’ve found by 3m in their 100 series is 100-2545 but then it’s not all that close really and I don’t think it’d be accepted. What other brands do a metallic range? I’m having a look through my KPMF booklets now and avery.

Grafityp only appear to do wrap vinyls in metallics, but they are sending the latest swatches as mine are over 5 years old. Hexis are doing the same, I have a price list folder from 2 years ago but no swatches for colour matching. Hopefully I’ll get somewhere now.
Anybody else do metallic finish vinyl? Or can anyone compare the colour cards for 951 to other manufacturers? I’ve gone through so many, half of which I have no idea where they’re from!
