Hugh Potter – Some recent work…
Posted by Hugh Potter on 30 August 2013 at 19:13Hey All,
It’s been a long time since I’ve done owt I felt like sharing, here’s a bit of recent work done since moving into the new shop, having a bit of a mare keeping up with it all but wading through it slowly!anyway, here’s a small selection of work – much of it I’ve forgotten to take pics of!

I know.. nothing out of the ordinary or particularly mind blowing, just thought I’d inflict them on y’all!
I seem to be doing quite a bit for a local dealership in vinyls, lots of vans etc and the print side is picking up too, lots of parish council stuff, sub work for a large litho printer etc.
things are looking up but I still need to be far better organised!
cheers for looking, any constructive crit welcome.

No critique from me, Hugh. All very sharp and clean work. Also shows your breadth of product/service types – a good all rounder!
Like your own van – smart! 🙂

Great to see your work Hugh, thank you for posting mate.
Purely constructive here, i so much prefer your New logo/look etc. to the previous. your new place looks great too, much more room for you to work in mate… its always great seeing companies on the boards evolve and grow from when they first started out. Warren Beard & Rich Urquhart being a couple that spring to mind….

Maybe nothing mind blowing Hugh but those sort of jobs don’t come along everyday anyway. Good selection of different types of work you can do which is always helpful in letting potential customers know what you can do for them.
2 good examples Robert & Ade Ward also springs to mind, still rib him about the fruit vans he first posted on the forums.

Hi Hugh…love what you have done with your own van..nicely balanced..
Isnt that fella good at painting with his mouth! excellent work there…I do some stuff for an artist…he likes paper and canvass printing..its nice to get varied work from some interesting people.
great to see the work still coming in…hows the shop?…I must have a look around and see what you have posted on it…ive been soooooo busy, a cigarette paper has not been able to fit between my jobs (and it keeps coming)… -

Nice bits mate and just to make a point from what Rob said about us starting up, well I really need to add that without these boards I don’t think it could have happened!

hi all, thanks for the comments, I’m just off out to do a btcc Honda civic so must dash – late already!
John, yes, website is on the top of the ‘get organised list’, still has the wrong numbers etc. must be costing me 🙁
Rich.. definitely mate!
Cheryl, The shop is going well thanks, it could be doing a lot more if only I could get myself properly organised and stop letting people jump the queue! Thinking about getting one of those business guru’s in for a few hours to go over everything, at the moment I’m still investing everything into the business but the time has come where I do now need to start drawing a wage of some kind.. investing properly is a nightmare as the bank – despite me being mainly in the black for 7 yrs, don’t want to part with any cash, they just want to offer loans so I told em to do one and not to bother me with financial services when I’m pulling up outside in my new Aston!
Re the van.. thanks have to go to Andrew Boyle – he came up with the main logo for me, I just added the ‘&print’ and the phone number stuff!
right, must run, even later now!
thanks,
Hugh -
I do enjoy doing the racecars but this one took some laying out and fitting! unlike most racecars with rough paint jobs and little thought for it by the owners – this is their 6month old demo car so there was no careful cutting on the car – otherwise I woulda run back for some red wrap and done the bonned / corners with that – instead of masked sections as supplied by Honda.
