  Versacamm can’t see ink cartridge!

  Hi
  I have a versacamm with white and gold.
  I did the daily shake as requested and it was asking for the white to be installed. There was plenty of ink in there so after trying several times, turning machine on and off it still says cartridge uninstalled.
  I put another one in and same message.
  Had a look at all the sensors, guides etc and all seem ok.

  Any ideas??

  I had a similar thing with one cart ( bulk system) on my Mimaki…..I had to put a small packer behind the chip on the cart………..think the sensor in the printer had moved a fraction.

  some time bits of the wrapper get torn and lose in the cage or make the cart not sit square.

  if its asking for you to shake the carts daily then the firmware wants updating, it will do more circulating than before and not asked to be shaked every day

  i shake mine every 3-4 days wether its asked for it or not and before printing white or silver.
