    Hi Stephen,

I bought a cheap heat press a few years ago too and believe it was an import.

There are obviously different machines available so can only go by what mine did – I have 2 digital readouts on the control box – one for time and one for temperature. Would guess your -H- would be for heat temperature either in celsius of farenheit – mine could display both.

Apologies if you already know the following bit but thought I’d add it anyway – You should be able to set the temperature via the display and then let it heat up. Can take quite a few minutes, especially if going up to around 150 to 200 degrees celsius. Then use the time setting for however long you need to press the transfer for – adjust to the desired time, press go and it should count back and beep when finished.

Regarding your last post about what the time/heat ratio settings are, it would all depend on the item you’re printing onto and where you get them from. Your sublimation consumable supplier should be able to give you a general guide and then it’s trial and error.

It’s normally how long you apply the heat for that is most likely to change and once you’ve pressed a few things, you’ll soon realise whether you need to adjust the dwell time.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks James, I have had it counting backwards and it did heat up, just cant get it to do it again,,,and when I tried to get information from China, Well that was a waste of time.
I shall continue to mess around with it and see if i can work out these mad settings. I know that on the ebay adverts for this lump of metal, that there is a warning, not to play around with the temp setting clocks "as they are delicate", just unfortunate someone beat me to it lol….Thanks

James, as regards to my last input, I have read your post again,,,,,
I can get the timer to work okay, its the temp clock that is causing me the issue.when i turn on the "lump" it will display either -H- or -L-, And if i press the temp settings and hold it, i can set the temp,,,,then it just clicks off to either one of those letters.
Then if I press the settings and hold it for a second or so,,,I get "C000" of that I can change up to "C0-41" or down to "C021",,,Press it again and i get "Y000" And that can be changed up to "Y040"
I think all i need to do is work out what they should be set at.

    Thanks again

Anyone else reading this, had the same issues with a similar lump of metal ?????"

    No problem.

When I looked, the only ‘guides’ I could find for the HP460 machine were on eBay. It seems the user guide is a one page manual and there is a photo and small set of ‘instructions’ for the temp and time setting.

They don’t say anything different than what I said above. There was a ‘clickable manual download’ but I wasn’t going there 😮

    Anyway, hope you sort it.

Yip James your right one page manual, and when you click on the link, you get the same text as you saw on that eBay page
Graham, I have scoured the Internet and could not find any good stuff, so if you have found something on utube point me in the right direction please.
My problem is that I do not like to give up easy, I did not pay a lot of money for this
So if it is for the bin then so be it, but i will give it a fair trial before sending it to its death

    Cheers guys
