Kitchen Cupboards
Not sure which forum to put this question in?
Her indoors has asked if we could vinyl the kitchen cupboards. I know I can but I was just wondering what the best vinyl to use would be. I ask because I can see her asking me to change it once we get a printer and she will want some funky design. I don’t fancy 2 days of cleaning adhesive from the doors.

What vinyl you use for everyday signs varies from one person to the next but I have always found that oracal 551 is a nice vinyl to work with & seems to come off without leaving to much residue.
Your other option is to go for one of the temporary vinyls that come off clean within something like a 6 month period, can’t recommend a brand as I haven’t used any of them. -
Depends how fussy the person is. I have refused to do this before as you won’t get the finish they are expecting with vinyl. Tiny airborne particles will stand out like rocks.

It is for the wife. It will be cheaper than new kitchen units though, I can live with some imperfections, she has to live with me!!

I’ve re done my fridge and my living room door in oracle 551!! Gloss paint prob cheaper for door but vinyl much quicker and far less mess!!

Can always add the cost onto my next job! Girls have their names on their doors in vinyl. Got them to design them themselves. ( to many thems I think)

just done my first kitchen top, and have to agree, u can see tiny particles under the vinyl, specially with gloss, was lucky enough that i warned the customer beforehand, i used standard kpmf material
