  Plotter vibrating

  Hi

  My machine has started making a vibrating noise when it goes from like a 11 o clock position to 4 o clock position when cutting and makes the vinyl hard to weed in that direction. When its cutting in other directions its fine.

  Ive tried a little oil on the wheels but to no joy.

  Has anyone got any other ideas what it can be?

  Probably a bit of grit in the knife holder strip and clean

  Probably blade holder as Chris says.

  Dirt, vinyl buildup or indeed bearing collapse (had that happen twice!)

  Remove the holder and pull / knock out the blade…if a dozen tiny ball bearings fall out too it’s the top bearing falling to bits. Time for a new holder.
