    Hello!!!!

    Question time…

I have a jpeg image of a coat of arms on a white background.

Is there a ‘button’ or such like in Corel that will allow me to remove the white background, so the coat of arms could be sat on a different coloured background?

    Gareth…

I don’t have X4 but have a look for cutout Lab under ‘Images’

you basically just trace round the outside of the image with a highlighter pen and then fill the area you want to keep

very easy to do but it’s up to you how accurate you want to be with it

Sometimes we run a trace, then weld delete the detail so it is just the outline and then powerclip the original image

    Cheers Gary

A white background is fairly easy to remove in PhotoPaint with the magic wand tool if you also require a cut contour line then Gary’s method would be better.
