Hi Peeps, can anyone recommend a good value glue remover? I hate paying £25 for 5 liters.

Isoprop is the same but I can get that for less than £2 per liter. It’s all the same chemical mix so it makes no difference who it comes from.

    Cheers

    Buy Tar & Glue remover.
be careful to buy the real stuff as there are lots of watered down versions.
you can buy it from most Auto Valet suppliers and janitorial suppliers.
be sure to clean down using isopropanol or similar AFTER you clean with tar and glue remover.

    applying it.
    pour onto a paper towel
    dab onto adhesive residue.
    leave a few minutes.
pour some more onto paper towel and repeat.
use an old squeegee, scrape off adhesive in one. wiping onto paper towel as you remove.
    clean area down with isopropanol.

this is the procedure of heavily covered adhesive areas and works great.
just make sure you get the genuine Tar & Glue remover. "Tar "N" Glue" is ok but not exactly the same, watch for the letter "N" instead of "&" 😉

I buy 25 litre containers for about £70 inc VAT (£2.80) from the local paint merchants…probably cheaper if I bought 100 litre drums but it takes me over a year to use what I’ve got…quite liberally at times.

this is the one we use, at least looks like it as its showing rear of bottle.

you will see in yours mo, its purple lable and has "N" between Tar & Glue remover.

the one you have still works well, just the one ive listed i found fastest to remove the adhesive.
