  LED identification help

  Is there any reason why you need a direct replacement and not just similar modules…?

  I want to find out the correct power supply for them. so I thought the easyest route was to find the original supplier. I don’t know if any 12v transformer will work as I am electrically challenged! 😳 😉

  Mike if you have a multimeter you could try connecting one module to a 12v dc supply.. measure how many milliamps you get over one module.

  take this figure and multiple it by the number of modules you are going to use.

  then use the following ( Milliamps x volts ) divide by 1000 = Watts

  then order a transformer with about 20% more power (watts) than you need.

  simples !

  Most LED’s will operate over a range of voltages, and some LED transformers come with adjustable voltage regulators. What will matter though is the wattage, making sure the transformer is big enough for the load. What you have is about 0.2W per module, so just count and multiply. Get in touch with the likes of Ashby for PSU’s/drivers
