  • Is it possible to laminate a print that’s 2140 x 1920?

Its a map printed on paper. The guy wants it laminated. The map is currently in 2 halves 1070 x 1920 but ideally would like it laminated as one.
is it possible to laminate this or is there a better solution?

    Thanks in advance

lamination is not always successful on paper due to the papers fibers normally paper is encapsulated, that said there are laminates matched to certain papers.
I would have thought that at that size it would be hard to find someone with that size laminater

Encapsulating is laminated both sides as with small office laminators where you have pouches to laminate paper, both sides and sealed edges

We have a Seal 80S which can take aroll 2030mm but we dont have any laminate that wide and I am not sure about paper. Why not print it on vinyl in the first place, maybe you wouldnt need to laminate it.

Ewan if a film laminate is going to cause a lot of problems what about using a liquid laminate??
Wouldn’t offer as much protection as a film but would give some protection & better than nothing.

Its not so much about protection. The customers wants to draw routes on the map with a white board marker and still be able to wipe them off at a later stage.
I’m wondering if I’d be better mounting the map on a board and then just covering it with clear perspex?
