I have a customer who is buying a new car which will be given a "scotchguard" treatment. The Garage supplying the car have suggested the graphics be applied first, then they will apply the scotchguard treatment. Not sure what is involved in this or whether the tratement should be applied before the graphics are fitted.

Anyone have any experience of this?

Yeh…it’s a teflon / non-stick type coating that apparently bonds to the paintwork. Various other companies do it too such as supaguard.

Yes – apply your stuff first or it’s not only a nightmare getting your stuff to stick, it’ll peel right off. It sticks EVENTUALLY, but never as good as raw paint.

Do tell them to leave your stuff for a few days though as the buffing up process can lift edges if lettering goes to a small point.
