Hi from a newbie in Bognor Regis

A short ‘hello’ to everyone.

I am an engineer by background and have a business supplying machines etc. to the electronics manufacturing industry in the UK; however, I added a laser engraver to the business a couple of years ago and am now involved in producing a raft of different products including illuminated laser engraved signs.

Next for me is a small vinyl plotter.

I don’t take on physically large jobs but prefer to tackle the very odd type of projects where I can use my engineering skills.

Recently I produced a pair of 18" sunglasses on the laser for a promotional mascot as part of the whole package for the client.

Hi Steve and welcome from near Pittsburgh, PA.
I have been a traditional signwriter for 28 years, but about 14 years ago I saw the need to add a vinyl plotter so I got a used 15" Gerber machine.
It finally died two years ago and I got a 24" Graphtec.
I also don’t like to do "big" jobs.
If I had to buy any bigger/heavier/more expensive media than 24" I would be in big trouble. The Graphtec does pretty well for me.
Anything bigger than that gets painted.
