    Guys,

I have recently acquired a new mercedes sprinter LWB and a couple of Nissan NV200 I always use a company down here in London called Wilco for my roof racks, my question is I’m looking for advice and possibly images of people who have made there own racking for tools and equipments.

I will be spending the holiday season wrapping all three van havent got any designs sorted yet but will have would be interested to see how others have wrapped there vans.

We have a full size CNC machine and are excited about constructing our own racking, really could do with seeing how you great minds have set your vans out….A quick snaps wouldnt go a miss if you dont mind guys.

I’ve just had my transit done by a company near Oxford, they sell the packs on Ebay and you fit or go their their workshop and they fit for free while you wait. Took my daughter with me and she didn’t even have time to get bored lol.

I had the whole inside ply lined and racking put in over both wheel arches giving me the racking without taking any real usable space out as I wanted to still be able to load large equipment if needed. Whole lot was £404 inc Vat.

I can look out some details and some pics if your still looking to get this done?

We bought ours from ebay too.

As we didn`t know where things were going, we went for ones with removalable sections, so we could make a section bigger, if you know what I mean LOL

we did buy again and made a mistake and got 1 side where there was no adjustment… but it did for all the odds and ends

The Company that did it was MK Plylining and their phone number is 01908 270127

    Their ebay id is mkplylining

I dealt with Paula and she had great product knowledge with prices to hand. The racks come in 8,12,16,20,24 choice so you can have bigger or smaller sections in the boxes I had a 8 (Left) and 12 (Right)

If you pm your email I-ll email you some photo’s of the inside, I’d rather not post them due to it being fully loaded when photo’s were taken.

I bought a roof rack for my NV200 from here:-

    http://www.plylinenortheast.co.uk/roof- … model.html

Very pleased with it. Robust and well built and allows me to carry large panels that will not fit inside the van.

Internally, I haven’t ply lined the van, but I do sometimes remove the bulkhead to allow me to carry longer items that I don’t have room to go on the roof rack.

With a combination of the roof rack and (sometimes bulkhead removed), it’s quite amazing what you can transport. And it’s handy to be able to bullshit on occasion and say you run a small fuel efficient van which is good for the environment 🙄

here’s a picture with the rack fitted:-

Phil I must agree these are great little vans.

The roof rack I have on mine came from a company called WILCO a famous london based company who make some really good roof racks…Ugly to look at by very solid bits of kit.

I think the NV is a great little Van….I love mine so much that I once turned up to a wedding in it….LOL
